The ideal candidate will possess 16+ years of planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities, 16+ years of demonstrating critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail, and 16+ years of creating, adapting, and following project schedules and deadlines.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 16+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities
- 16+ years of experience demonstrating critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail
- 16+ years of using organizational and communication skills
- 16+ years of experience grasping technical concepts and making them understandable
- 16+ years of experience creating, adapting, and following project schedules and deadlines
- 3+ years experience as a project manager or project coordinator
- 3+ years of experience with business process improvement methodologies

The District of Columbia’s Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) IT Project Coordinator to coordinate IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess 16+ years of planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities, 16+ years of demonstrating critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail, and 16+ years of creating, adapting, and following project schedules and deadlines.
The PMO IT Project Coordinator will be tasked to:
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings, prepare meeting materials, enter data in regulatory workflow tracking tools, draft acknowledgement letters, archive emails to sponsors
- Work closely with subject matter experts and senior leaders to gather requirements for data entry, WBS maintenance, meeting development and minutes documentation
- Assist with work tracking and triaging of risks, issues, and action items
- Assist with querying and report generation for review work and assignments from work tracking tools
- Gather and document ad-hoc assignments for data calls from other offices
- Provide administrative support to cleanup and maintain the central document repository system for business process documentation
- Perform quality reviews to ensure each document is accurate and consistent with appropriate laws, regulations, and policies, includes all important concepts, meets the writing style requirements of the agency, follows the appropriate template and are written at an appropriate comprehension level for the intended audience
- Produce drafts of each written document for review
- Collect and analyzes installation, regulatory, resource, and market background to thoroughly assess and recommend energy project opportunities
- Provide support in the identification and development of portfolio, program, and project execution issues, developing and coordinating communications, and meetings
- Coordinate IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities
- Develop technical applications to support users
- Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems
- Provide training for system products and procedures
- Perform application upgrades
- Perform, monitor, maintain, and report real- time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications
- Troubleshoot problems
- Ensure project lifecycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures
